Through divine revelation, our Founder, the Most Rev. John H. Taylor, was called by God to gather souls around His Word and unite them through love, faith, and praise. That vision gave birth to Triumph Church – The New Beginning on Easter Sunday, April 22, 1984, at 6:00 a.m. The ministry was officially introduced to the world on Sunday, May 6, 1984, at 3:00 p.m. by our Founder and First Lady.

The founding members were Sis. Joan Allen, Sis. Jean Archie, Sis. Adiane Beckles, Sis. Ruth Gibbs, Sis. Elvira Smith, Sis. Lila Smith, Bro. Charles Wilcox, Sis. Sallie Wilcox, and Sis. Elizabeth Hankerson. The Spiritual Advisors were Eld. Mo. Johnnie W. Smith and Eld. Mo. Annie Baker.

As the ministry continued to grow, God expanded the vision. In 1991, the church was renamed The New Beginning Praise Tabernacle. During this season, God gave our Founder deeper spiritual insight, teaching us that we are more than Christians—we are Ambassadors of the Kingdom of God.

In 2008, through the anointing of God, our Founder was elevated to the office of Bishop. Then in 2009, the church received its current name, The New Beginning Embassy of Praise, reflecting a greater dimension of God’s glory revealed in the ministry.

Since its inception, the church has experienced many testimonies of healing, miracles, and divine provision. Among these were the miracle of the forgiven mortgage on 119th Street, Bishop Taylor’s mighty healing, and God allowing the ministry to “Seal the Miracle” as He carried us to higher heights and deeper depths in Him.

In June 2020, God instructed Bishop Taylor to journey northward. In faithful obedience, Bishop Taylor and The New Beginning relocated to West Park, Florida. There, the ministry continued to flourish, drawing souls from the north, south, east, and west.

Today, The New Beginning Embassy of Praise stands as a living testimony of God’s faithfulness. As we continue reaching the total man, we are growing both naturally and spiritually through the power of the Holy Ghost. Our history is still being written, and we remain committed to obeying God’s Word and standing on the Solid Rock, Christ Jesus.
